How to apply aligner gems step by step

Application takes under 60 seconds once you've done it once. Here's the exact process:

1. Clean your aligner thoroughly with a soft toothbrush and cold water. Make sure it's completely dry — moisture is the enemy of adhesive.
2. Choose your placement. The outer surface of the upper front teeth zone is the most visible spot. Centre is classic; off-centre is more editorial. Avoid the edges of the tray where there's more flex.
3. Peel the gem from its backing using the included applicator tool. Avoid touching the adhesive face with your fingers — skin oils reduce bond strength.
4. Place the gem firmly onto the tray surface and hold for 5 seconds with steady, even pressure.
5. You have approximately 60 seconds to reposition if you change your mind. After that, the adhesive sets. Peel gently, reapply — the adhesive remains active for multiple repositions.
6. Wait 2 minutes before putting the aligner in your mouth. Done.

Wear your aligners as normal. The gem will hold through eating (with trays out), sleeping, drinking water, and everything else your usual wear cycle involves.
